Chakra balancing

By balancing these energy centres a practitioner can improve health and vitality of the body.

Chakra balancing

The chakras are becoming increasingly important in holistic healthcare as we begin to recognise and understand the role of energy in all life. By learning how to work with the chakras you are opening a new world of possibilities. When balanced, the chakras can transform your life, where once you were fearful you can find courage, and where once you were frustrated you may conceive ideas and realisations. The chakras within the body are specialised energy centres, linking the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies together. Each chakra is associated with a major nerve plexus and endocrine gland in the physical body. Dysfunction of the chakras can indicate illness in the making. The activity of the chakras can be determined by various methods such as use of colour, crystals or meditations.

The effect of colour on moods is well recognised and the use of colour can certainly treat illness on an emotional and physical level. Colour is a common method of balancing chakras since each chakra is associated with a certain colour, this is the method I use the most. Meditation is applied to all therapies that involve the chakras as often the mind plays a central role in correcting imbalances.

It is important to recognise that chakras are not only found within the human body but exist throughout the Universe. There are specialised energy centres throughout the planet and a matrix of energy pathways bonds us all together. The realisation that all energy is one, and in fact, there is no real point at which our bodies stop and the rest of the Universe begins is central to healing at a base level.
